Age of Robots- Human Story Experiment ๐ŸŽจ Project
๐ŸŽจ Ongoing
Human Story Experiment is a network of careful humans interviewing other humans. We are not chasing speed. We are not chasing scale. We are sitting with one person, one place, one practice long enough to see it clearly, and then writing what we saw. The work is regional, slow, and specific. Our publications cover gardens, food, business, and creative work in Kitsap County and beyond. Each one publishes when the piece is ready, not when the algorithm thinks it should. We are looking for collaborators in five roles. EDITOR. The publication's center of gravity. Holds the line on what we mean by careful, warm, and true. Reviews the work before it goes live. Makes the call on what makes the page and what doesn't. If you have the editorial instincts of a publication you'd actually want to read, this might be you. SCOUTS. People who notice the kind of human worth writing about. A gardener you stop to talk to. A teacher whose classroom feels different. A founder building something slow on purpose. If you keep noticing the people the feed keeps missing, you might be a scout. INTERVIEWERS. People who can sit with someone for two hours and come back with something true. Not a transcript. Not a press release. The actual shape of how that person thinks. If you're a careful listener with a recorder, this might be you. PHOTOGRAPHERS. The visual layer carries half the editorial weight. We need photographers who can sit with a subject long enough that the camera disappears, then come back with portraits that feel like the actual person. If you understand photography is closer to listening than to documenting, this might be you. VIDEO PRODUCERS. We publish video alongside writing. We want footage that respects the rhythm of how the person actually talked, plus b-roll that makes a piece feel like a place. If you've made video that feels less like production and more like noticing, this might be you. The bet: in a world flooding with generated content, a publication built by humans paying close attention to other humans is more durable than the alternatives. We are optimizing for what is worth remembering. If that sounds like your kind of work, claim a task below.
